My subjects—like my drawings—are classical: portraits, nudes, animals, and still lifes. Color, light, and chiaroscuro define my style and make my works unique.Although I work in various painting styles, the glazing technique of the Old Masters remains my foundation.
I find my models in my own home and garden—or nearby. Occasionally at the zoo.
Here too, my own garden is often a source of inspiration.
I love portraits that tell a story. This can be achieved through facial expressions, but also through the context of a painting.
